<p>She needs enough room in the trunk to fit a wheelchair to transport her grandma, etc.  She wants good gas mileage (30+).  What is a reliable used car to buy that will work as well on it&#8217;s 100k&#8217;s as it did in it&#8217;s 10k&#8217;s?<br/><br/></div>

I&#8217;ve been informed that it needs a new battery, but it seems like this NEW battery in a NEW car didn&#8217;t last very long.  I&#8217;ve bought used cars with the original battery that lasted longer &#8211; a 3 yrs old car with over 70,000 miles on it, drove for 2 more years on the original battery.  So how long SHOULD a car battery last?<br />

<div><em><strong>Happy Gurl</strong> </em><br/><br/><br/>We&#8217;ve tried all sorts of things to get the car to run, it wants to start and everything is in good condition, but the car won&#8217;t start. We are down to the fuel pump or the chip in the key being  broken. The gauges don&#8217;t even budge either and I know I have gas in the car and an excellent battery and nothing flickers when I try to start the car, But the two lights that show up are the key light symbol and the fuel symbol. Its a 2000 Jeep Grand Cheeroke Limited.<br/><br/></div>
