What do I need To Do When Buying A Used Car In VA?

I’m buying a used car in a week or two and I’ve never bought a car before. It will be through a private sale. Exactly what do I need to do? What extra fees should I expect? Do I need to get it inspected? I don’t know the first thing about this, so any and all help is appreciated. I’m in Virginia.

    check when the last oil change was check if there are any problems and you should test drive it and when you test driving it give it some gas lol put some stress on the car and see if it can take it
